Leading end of life charity Marie Curie has partnered with Gower Walking Festival to mark this year’s Beat the Gower Coast – a fundraising trek across the picturesque South Wales landscape.

Kim Davies, owner of The FAB Company, is a passionate Nordic Walking and FLexercise instructor as well as being a qualified Lowland Leader, Hill & Moorland Leader, and lifelong lover of the outdoors. She has been leading group walks and helping people discover the joy, confidence, and connection that come from keeping fit and walking in nature for nearly 20 years.

Haydn Chilcott was born in Cardiff and moved to Swansea in 1972 following graduation from Birmingham University with a degree in Industrial Metallurgy. He has lived in Mumbles/Langland for most of the last 54 years (with approx. 8 months in 1984 spent back in Cardiff when he transferred to work at the Commercial offices of British Steel based in Llanwern).

David Brayley is an award-winning author and sports writer from Swansea.
He has written two autobiographies of elite sportsmen, cricketer Tony Cottey and Wales international football captain, Ashley Williams, and two official books about Swansea City.

Walking is a central and fantastic part of Clive Scott’s life. Over the last 15 years, he has led walks for the Ramblers in Swansea. And, for the last three, he has also led walks for the Gower Walking Festival as well as being involved in its organisation.
