Tickets are now on sale for the 2026 Gower Walking Festival.
Our annual celebration of Gower is designed to encourage people to appreciate the area’s unique landscape and rich heritage while enjoying the many benefits of walking. This year’s Festival will run from Saturday 5th September to Sunday 13th September 2026 tickets can be purchased here.
Now in its 22nd year, the Festival always sets out to offer a diverse and sustainable programme of walking events, with minimal environmental impact, to educate and sometimes challenge all who take part. 2026 will be no different with more than 30 guided walks in and around the Gower Peninsula.
This year, we hope to receive more participants than ever, with even more locals recognising there is more to Gower than just the familiar favourites and more visitors drawn to the area with its well-deserved title of Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A combination of walks for all abilities, increased desire for a variety of walks, a rise in popularity for a staycation along with more people recognising the health benefits of walking, this year’s Festival is expected to attract up to 500 participants.
As always, we will celebrate all of Gower, and its surrounding area, with walks along the seafront to more ‘off the beaten track’ hikes. You’ll be able to discover the coastlines, flora and fauna, industrial history and be introduced to people from the past who helped to put Swansea on the map!
New walks have been introduced including one for your vocal chords (not just your boots) as you discover native woodland, as well as closing the Festival with a beach clean, a chance for everybody to show gratitude for all Gower offers us.
So come and join us, revisit beaches, see Gower from a different perspective and experience Gower like never before. The dedicated GWF team of volunteers want to show off all it has to offer and invite you to join them over 9 magical days and enjoy Gower at its best.
