The development of Oystermouth Castle

moderate-icon

We will start the walk at Verdi’s in the Mumbles and walk along the promenade to Oystermouth Castle. On the way we will pause at various locations, including All Saints Church, to consider the development of both the Castle and Oystermouth and how they are linked. Following a break there will be a full tour of Oystermouth Castle which will cover the construction and history of the Castle and the historical figures that lived in, visited or captured it during its turbulent history.

This is a moderate walk with some uneven ground and spiral staircases.

Toilets are available on route but none in the Castle (nearest 50m).
