Nature Walk – The Serpent Walk

Walk around the headland of Rhossili to Fall Bay taking in the stunning views of Rhossili bay and the world-famous worms head, take a pause at the Victorian-built National Coast watch Institute lookout and see if you can spot seals off the North face of the worm. Following along the coast path to the top of Fall bay where two old lime kiln still sit. You then follow the path through local fields up to Middleton where you can find the birthplace of Edgar Evans a member of the “Polar Party” in Robert Falcon Scott’s ill-fated Expedition to the South Pole in 1911–1912. Then follow a Path wrapping along the south edge of Rhossili downs where you can see the full circular walking route before heading down into the village passing St Mary’s Church which has a memorial to Edgar.
