The walk will start at Verdi’s on the promenade and proceed to the Castle via All Saint’s Church, Oystermouth Cemetery, the allotments to the East of the Castle, the Quarry Car Park, up through the Castle woods on the established path to Castle park. On the walk the Leader will describe the links between Oystermouth and Oystermouth Castle and the context and development of the latter. The tour will conclude with a full guided tour of the Castle lasting about an hour. Terrain is mostly paved. The only climbs are through the Castle woods and up the Castle staircases. The floor and steps in the Castle are uneven and care must be taken.
