Penllergare Valley Woods

This walk is approximately 2 miles with some steep slopes and steps and will take about 2 hours. It will take us through the grounds of Penllergare House that were once part of the Dillwyn Llewellyn Dynasty and are steeped in history, although the house no longer exists. The pace will be steady and we will make regular stops to look at points of interest. It will cover about two thirds of Penllergare Valley Woods including the 19th Century Carriage Drive, the View Point, Quarry Bridge and the Upper and Lower Lakes, Llewellyn Bridge and Waterfall. Most of the route will be on good paths, however there may be muddy areas near the Lower Lake.

There is a café at the end of the walk for refreshments. £2 parking fee.
